YWyn Mr amrkn BmgBoBt Wqt aty[ywyn KfTo YTqwm >lf ADrg (MsKRm 1 19093 ]!m!) The Ethiopian Community in the USA is mounting a nationwide mobilization to stage a series of daily demonstrations against the Tigrai People's Liberation Front (TPLF) leader and Ethiopian dictator, Melese Zenawi. 

• The dictator was at Harvard University on 9/5/2000. A large successful demonstration against the tyrant and his autocratic administration was carried out at the JFK School of International Studies. Members of the Ethiopian Free Press and the community were very effective in exposing the tyrant.
• Melese Zenawi skipped a speech at the UN but no official explanation was given. AP(9/8/00) reported that an official at Ethiopia's mission said Zenawi had "other engagements."  Another successful demonstration against the tyrant and his autocratic administration took place the UN Building.
• He is expected to meet with US officials the following days. Demonstration took place on 9/11/2000 starting at 9:00 AM and ended at 1:30 PM. The march began in front of the Capitol Building West Side (US Congress). The march proceeded to the White House, the World Bank/IMF and on to the Department of State. A well organized demonstration led by the Ad Hoc Committee For the Preservation of Ethiopia's Red Sea Cost. About 1500 people participated in this historic event. A seven person delegation led by Ato Belai Abay, Chairman of the committee, presented a position paper to the Assistant secretary of State, Africa Desk to be passed on to the Secretary of State. The document warns of the danger posed by any attempt to conclude an illegal agreements behind the back of the Ethiopia people. Posted 9/12/2000
• Melese will appear at the new Ethiopian Embassy, 3506 International Drive, N.W. Washington, DC on September 14, 2000 at 4 PM to participate in a ribbon cutting ceremony (invited guests only. Demonstration starts at 9:00 AM in front of the Embassy.  (Right across the Van Ness campus of The University of the District of Columbia. (Note: Rumors have it that the Tigrai Development Association will stage a show of support for the tyrant. Arrive early in the morning to avoid being outmaneuvered for prime location.) Posted 9/12/2000
• He has invited his supporters to participate (you need be invited to be admitted) in a discussion (with him) of national and regional matters at the Ethiopian Embassy on September 15, 2000.  Program starts at 4:00 PM. Demonstration in front of the Embassy starts at 9:00 AM. Here is another great opportunity for the Ethiopian community to stage a peaceful united opposition to the tyrant's veiled disinformation propaganda and war mongering belligerence. Melese's propagandists have also invited opposition parties to send two people each, to meet with him on 9/15/2000 morning at the Embassy. Pay attention as to who bites the bait! Tell him to free his political prisoners whom he jailed when they went to Addis to engaged in civil political discourse.
